The first NRN-LCEE Research Clusters have started

We are delighted to be able to announce the first four NRN-LCEE Research Clusters.

We are proud to introduce these Clusters and look forward to an exciting new phase for the NRN-LCEE.

 

The following Clusters have now started:

 

AQUAWALESMinimising the Impacts of Intensive Aquaculture in the face of Climate Change

Cluster Leader: Dr. Sonia Consuegra, Swansea University.

A collaboration between Swansea, Aberystwyth and Cardiff Universities; Natural Resources Wales; CIBIO; Cardiff Harbour Authority; FishGen; Natural Aptitude; Pontus Aqua; Skillfish and the Wye & Usk Foundation.

 

PLANTS & ARCHITECTURE

Cluster Leader: Prof. Iain Donnison, Aberystwyth University.

A collaboration between Aberystwyth, Bangor and Cardiff Universities.

 

QUOTIENT – Quantification, Optimisation, and Environmental Impacts of Marine Renewable Energy

Cluster Leader: Dr. Simon Neill, Bangor University.

A collaboration between Bangor, Cardiff and Swansea Universities.

 

RESILCOAST – Integrating ecosystem resilience into coastal planning for the persistence of natural flood protection and wetland ecosystem services

Cluster Leader: Dr. Martin Skov, Bangor University.

A collaboration between Bangor, Cardiff and Swansea Universities; the Centre for Ecology and Hydrology; Natural Resources Wales; Plymouth Marine Laboratory and the Royal Netherlands Institute for Sea Research.
